Thank you for your interest in Holme Slack Community Primary School. We are delighted that you are considering our school for your child.

As a Lancashire County Council (LCC) maintained school, all admissions and appeals are managed directly by LCC. Our Published Admission Number (PAN) is 30, meaning we admit up to 30 children into each reception cohort. Full details about how to apply for a place, including key dates and admissions criteria, can be found on the LCC website or via the links below.

Applications for primary & secondary school 2026 are open.
The closing dates for applications for September 2026 are 11:59 pm on:-
Secondary school applications – 31st October 2025
Primary school applications – 15th January 2026

Admissions for our 2026 Reception Class
The online application process opens in September prior to a child starting school and all online applications must be submitted before 15th January 2026.
Starting primary school (reception) - Lancashire County Council
We are listed as Preston Holme Slack Community Primary School.
LCC will then send out notification letters to parents 16th April 2026. Any pupils who are not happy with their offer may appeal, and full details are provided by LCC.
The selection and over-subscription are managed by LCC as they are our admissions' authority.
In-Year applications.
Children moving into the area can be admitted at any time in the school year by arrangement with LCC Admissions. This is dependent on a place being available in the required year group.
Please contact the LCC in the first instance if you wish to move your child to our school.

Appeals
Your appeal should be submitted using the link below within twenty days of refusal of admission.
