School Uniform
New School Uniform Trial – September 2026
From September 2026, we will be trialling a new school uniform that better reflects the active, outdoor learning experiences enjoyed by our children every day.
Our pupils are physically active throughout the school week, including:
- 2 hours of high-quality PE each week
- Daily Mile sessions in the playground
- 1 hour of Forest School each week
- Regular outdoor classroom learning
- Daily break times of 1 hour 15 minutes for Key Stage 1 and 1 hour for Key Stage 2
To support this active lifestyle, we are introducing a more practical, comfortable uniform that allows children to participate fully in all aspects of school life without the need for frequent clothing changes.
The new uniform also supports the Department for Education's focus on inclusion by ensuring that all children, including those with additional sensory needs, can wear clothing that is comfortable and suitable throughout the school day. This helps reduce the likelihood of children feeling different from their peers because of their clothing.
In addition, we are committed to keeping school uniform affordable for families. Under the new policy, the only compulsory branded item will be the school fleece which is available to order via ParentPay. All other uniform items can be purchased from a retailer of your choice, helping to reduce costs while maintaining a smart and consistent appearance.
The 2026–2027 academic year will be a trial period, giving families the opportunity to become familiar with the new uniform and provide feedback. The new uniform will become compulsory from September 2027, allowing plenty of time for families to make the transition gradually and avoid unnecessary expense.
We believe these changes will provide a more practical, inclusive and affordable uniform that supports the active, engaging curriculum our children experience every day.

The school fleece is available to order direct from the school office. Please contact us for more information
